Description

The Prince of Wales Column is a Grade II* listed statue on a column, dating from the mid- to late 18th century. It is constructed from ashlar stone. The plinth features a moulded base and cornice, is vermiculated, and stands about five feet high. On the front west face of the plinth is a relief of a fleur-de-lys. Rising from the plinth is a Corinthian column that is approximately 50 feet high, which supports a statue of the Prince of Wales dressed in Roman military attire. The column is located at the top of a slope that ascends to the north-east of Hagley Hall.
