Description
The Rectory, now a house, dates from the mid-18th century and has undergone alterations and additions in the mid-19th century and mid-20th century. It is constructed of painted brick and features a plain tiled roof with end stacks. The building is two storeys tall with an attic that includes dormers, and it has a dentilled eaves cornice. The facade consists of three bays, with windows on the main floors that have cambered relieving arches and are replaced with 20th-century multi-pane sashes. There are three hipped dormers, each with 2-light 20th-century casements.
The central entrance is highlighted by a 19th-century ornate cast iron porch that features trellis detail, a moulded cornice, and a flat roof supported by a brick base. The doorcase includes pilasters and an entablature, a six-panelled door, and a transom light with decorative glazing bars. To the right side of the building, there is a single-storey wing, likely from the mid-19th century, which has a 2-light casement, a multi-paned 20th-century window, and a door with a cambered head in its front elevation.
