Description

Aston Fields War Memorial, built in 1920, is a stone structure featuring metal railings. The memorial consists of a cross with a square base, topped by a plinth, pedestal, and a tapering shaft that supports a decorative Latin cross. Surrounding the memorial are metal railings.

The front face of the plinth bears the inscription: "IN GRATEFUL MEMORY OF THE MEN OF THIS PARISH WHO DIED FOR THEIR COUNTRY IN THE GREAT WAR 1914-1918 THEIR NAME LIVETH FOR EVERMORE ALSO TO THOSE WHO FELL 1939-1945." The other faces of the memorial are also inscribed with names.
