Description
The Birmingham Canal No. 1 Lock and Little's Lane Bridge is a canal lock and bridge built around 1770 by engineers Brindley, Whitworth, and Simcock. It features brick construction with some stone coping. The lock has double bottom gates and a single top gate. The bridge is designed with an elliptical brick arch and a stone key, along with stone-coped straight parapets. This lock is part of a series of 21 locks on the Birmingham Canal at the Wolverhampton level.
