Description
This churchyard cross, located approximately 5 meters west of the Church of St Bartholomew, is a notable structure. The base likely dates from the 13th century, while the shaft and head were added in 1912. It is made of ashlar and features three square steps with chamfered angles leading up to the base. The shaft is tapering and also chamfered. At the top, the lantern head has four niches adorned with crocketed gables and a short cross. The niches contain figures of Our Lady and Child, as well as a depiction of the Crucifixion with Saints Mary and John, and possibly St Chad and St Bartholomew. This cross was relocated to its current position from its original site south of the church in 1912.
