Description
Ivy House is a house that has been converted into offices, built in the early 19th century. It is constructed of brick and features a tiled roof. The building stands three storeys high and has a five-window range, with the left part recessed and a two-storey re-entrant porch. There is a sill band on the first floor across the right four bays and a cornice at the top.
The windows to the left of the porch have brick cambered arches, while the others have rubbed brick flat arches. Most of the windows are 6-over-one-pane sashes, with the right end having blind windows. The ground floor includes a casement window to the left of the porch, a 20th-century inserted sash window to the right of the porch over a canted base for a bay window, and another sash window. On the first floor, there is a 10-over-one-pane horned sash window, while the porch features a 12-pane sash, a casement, and another sash. The second floor has a casement and 6-pane sashes to the right of the porch. The entrance is highlighted by a porch with Doric columns and a Tuscan entablature, leading to paired doors.
Inside, there is a staircase with a ramped handrail and boarded-in balusters.
