Description
Bentley House is a house dating from the early to mid-19th century. It is constructed of brick in Flemish bond and features a tile roof. The building is two storeys high and has four bays. Between the third and fourth bays, there are narrow 20th-century windows with glazing bars and concrete heads. The windows are sashed with glazing bars and have stone sills. The ground floor windows are adorned with lintels that have two panels and a central patera, along with cornices supported by consoles. The door, located in the second bay, consists of six flush panels with reeded borders. Its doorcase includes panelled reveals, a fanlight, engaged Tuscan columns topped with triglyphs, and an open pediment. The eaves cornice is made of stucco and features a blocking course. There are chimneys situated on the gables and between the third and fourth bays. Inside, the staircase has stick balusters and a turned newel.
