Description
Lavender Hall Farmhouse is a building with origins dating back to the 16th century, which was altered and refaced in red brick in the late 17th century. The house has a half H plan, with a central recess that has been built up with a pediment from the 18th century. It features a hipped roof covered with old tiles, along with two hipped dormers. The farmhouse is two storeys tall with attics, a first-floor band, and a cornice. There are three windows on the main fronts and two on the sides, primarily modern casements with cambered arches. On the right side of the ground floor, there is a canted bay window. A sandstone plinth is present on the north side. Inside, there is a 16th-century newel staircase with ball finials and balusters. Lavender Hall Farmhouse and the adjacent barn form a group.
