Description
Well House, formerly listed as The Rectory, dates from the late 17th century or early 18th century and was altered in the 19th century. It is constructed of red brick with stone dressings and features a tiled roof with two curvilinear gables and one gable with finials on the entrance front. The building has two storeys and attics, with a plinth, a first-floor band, a cornice, and bonded quoins. The recessed centre includes a 19th-century porch and has a layout of two, three, and two sash windows with glazing bars in their surrounds. The ground floor has keystones, and the first floor features 19th-century dripmoulds. Inside, the original staircase is preserved, showcasing turned spiral balusters and a moulded handrail.
