Description

Magpie Farmhouse is a mid-16th century building featuring a stone base with a close set timber frame and whitewashed plaster infilling. It has a tiled roof and a red brick chimney stack located at the ridge, complete with base and cap mouldings. The farmhouse is two storeys high with attics, and both gables extend beyond the eaves level supported by console brackets. The first floor has flush lattice casement windows and canted bay oriel windows on console brackets under each gable end. There is a modern south wing added to the structure. Inside, the ground floor includes four-centred arched stone chimneypieces.
