Description

Dated 1868 and designed by W.E. Nesfield, this building is a block of shops and dwellings constructed in a vernacular style. The ground floor is of red brick, while the first floor has a pargetted overhang. The roof is tiled, with two hipped half-dormers and a gable on the left-hand side. The building has tall, flush, four-light wood mullion windows with lattice casements. Prominent, panelled and moulded red brick chimneystacks rise above the roofline. A stone panel displays the date of construction. The building forms a group with Nos. 22 to 42 (even) along High Street.
