Description

Stourbridge Canal Lock Number 11 is a late 18th-century lock located on the Stourbridge Canal in Wordsley, Dudley. The lock features a brick chamber with stone and diamond pattern engineering brick copings. It has a single timber top gate equipped with ground and gate paddles, and double bottom gates also with gate paddles. The lock is supported by timber balance beams and has stone dressed brick wing walls. At the base of the lock, there is a cantilevered cast iron tailbridge.
