Description
Stourbridge Canal Lock Number 10 is a late 18th-century lock located on the Stourbridge Canal. It features a brick chamber with stone copings. The lock has a single wooden top gate, which was added to convert it from a staircase lock to a pair of locks, likely in the mid-19th century. It includes ground paddles and double bottom gates with gate paddles, as well as wooden balance beams. The area around the lock has a grassed quadrant, and the wing walls are constructed of stone-dressed brick.
