Description

Number 8 Priory Row is a building dating from around 1800. It is constructed of red brick and stands three storeys tall, featuring three windows set in plain recesses without glazing bars. The façade is adorned with Greek Doric columns and has channelled triglyphs on the frieze, along with a panelled door and soffits. The eaves are supported by wooden modillions. There are 19th-century railings in front of the building. A plaque on the site refers to the historic significance of the area, summarizing the history of the early monastery nearby. Number 8 is part of a group that includes numbers 7 to 11, the front gate, and the railings to number 11.
