Description
The Rainbow Inn is an early 19th century building that features a whitewashed brick front, which covers an earlier timber-framed structure dating back to around 1680. The timber framework is exposed on the east side, and there is some early stonework visible below. The building has one storey with attics and a two-storey wing on the right. It includes two sets of casement windows with glazing bars, and cambered relieving arches above them. The roofs are a mix of old and machine tiles, with a corbelled brick cornice and two gabled casement dormers. The ground floor window on the right does not have glazing bars. Inside, there is a stone ingle-nook fireplace. The Rainbow Inn is part of a group that includes Nos 67 to 73 (odd).
