Description

The Lodge is a building dating from around 1720, constructed for Christopher Capel. It is made of red brick and features an old tiled hipped roof with a brick cornice. The building has two storeys and attics, with plain angle pilasters. There are three flush sash windows with glazing bars, positioned under flat arches that include keystones. The roof has three hipped casement dormers. The central door is recessed and has a rectangular fanlight above it, which is sheltered by a hood supported on cut brackets. The Lodge is part of a group that includes Nos 42 to 64 (even).
