Description

Bremond College (also known as The Manor, Number 28 Leamington Road, Stivichall) is a house, originally used as a school and now converted into flats. The core of the building dates back to the 18th century, with significant alterations and extensions made in the early to mid-19th century. It is constructed of red brick with a clay tile roof, featuring brick dentilled gables and brick axial stacks.

The original section on the left side of the house has a platband at the first-floor level, displaying two gables and being two storeys high with attic space. It has three bays, with 19th-century casement windows and flat brick arches topped with keystones. A central doorway is topped by a rectangular overlight with margin panes, and now features a later gabled timber porch. To the right is an early to mid-19th century addition, two storeys high and three bays wide, with sixteen-pane sash windows set within rusticated heads featuring keyblocks. A 20th-century bay is situated on the ground floor to the left. The rear elevation is gabled and includes a 19th-century service wing and 20th-century flat-roofed single-storey extensions.

The interior has been significantly altered with the subdivision into flats. However, the attic staircase in the original house retains its splat balusters, square newels, and a moulded handrail.
