Description
White House Farmhouse is a house that likely dates back to the early 17th century. It features timber-framing, although most of it has been replaced with painted brick, and has a concrete tile roof. The building is one storey high with an attic. The south-west wall consists of three bays that are separated by straight joints. The left-hand window is from the 20th century and has a flat head, while the other windows have segmental brick arches. There is a dormer in the middle bay, and the roof is half-hipped on the left side. A chimney is located between the second and third bays. The rear wall reveals exposed principal posts with short straight braces to the wall-plate, along with some remaining square panelled framing on the first floor. The entrance door is located under a 20th-century glazed porch, at the angle with a single-storey rear wing. The interior was not fully accessible during the survey, but it includes chamfered spine beams and some exposed common joists.
