Description
Pickford Farmhouse is a 17th-century house located on Brick Hill Lane in Allesley. It features timber-framing on a stone plinth, with brick infill and a tiled roof. The building has a lobby-entry plan and is framed with three rows of square panels and straight braces to the wall-plate. It stands two storeys high and consists of three bays. The windows are timber casements with glazing bars, and there is a door situated between the first and second bays. The chimneys are aligned with the door and are located on the right-hand gable. The left-hand return wall displays exposed framing, with straight braces rising from the centre of the wall-plate to meet the principal posts below their jowls. The truss includes struts between the tie-beam and collar.
