Description

Christchurch Steeple is a 14th-century structure that has been recently restored following damage from an air raid. It is the only remaining part of the Franciscan friary that was founded in 1234. The body of the church was rebuilt in 1832 but was later destroyed. The steeple is constructed of ashlar and features an octagonal plan spire.
