Description
Bablake School is a 14th-century building originally serving as the priest's quarters for the collegiate church of St John. It was remodelled in 1560 into a boys' hospital and later became a school. After the school relocated to Coundon Road in 1890, the building was repurposed as offices for the General Municipal Charities and the governors of Bablake School.
The building features an ashlar ground floor that faces the road, with an oversailing timber-framed first floor supported by wooden brackets and corbels. The roof is tiled and includes two hipped casement dormers from the late 17th century.
