Description

The Paxton Memorial is a tall stone monument designed in the Decorated style by architect Joseph Goddard and sculptor Samuel Barfield of Leicester, completed in 1865 to honor Sir Joseph Paxton. The monument features granite colonnettes and has a slender outline with many carved details. It is part of a group of listed buildings within the Cemetery.
