Description

Nos 83 and 84 Great Hampton Street is a 3-storey red brick building dating from around 1880, featuring slight Gothic details. The facade is symmetrical with six narrow bays, where the end bays are slightly advanced and topped with narrow gables. The stone coping of the parapet is raised in three immature gables, which emphasizes the compact design of the window bays. Dripmoulds with carved stops are linked over the first-floor windows, and between the end bays, there are colonettes that support the arches. The ground floor has two narrow doorways flanking a modern shop front that has been inserted up to the deeply weathered sill of the first-floor windows.
