Description

No. 52 Vyse Street is a two-storey house built between 1840 and 1850, featuring three bays and finely polished red brickwork. The building has shallow flat eaves beneath a low-pitched slate roof. It includes revealed sash windows with stucco sills and panelled rosetted heads, which are flanked by consoles with thin cornices and blocking courses. The central doorway is set within a broad semi-circular archway, adorned with stucco impost blocks. The entrance features a narrow six-panel door with looped radial glazing in the fanlight, which is deeply set in a reeded pilaster doorcase and head. This property is a notable example of domestic architecture in the jewellery quarter.
