Description

The Burnaby Obelisk, located in St Philip's Churchyard, is a late 19th-century monument made of Portland stone. It is tall and inscribed on three sides with the name Burnaby, referring to F G Burnaby (1842-1885), and includes the inscriptions "Khiva 1875" and "Abu Klea 1885." The fourth side features an oval portrait medallion.
