Description
Nos 270 and 272 on Mary Vale Road in Bournville were built around 1905 by W A Harvey in the Arts and Crafts style. The building features roughcast walls and a tiled roof, forming a single composition that is two storeys high with two bays, flanked by tall battered buttresses on either side. The ground floor includes a door set within a porch that leads to a rectangular bay window, which is covered by a single flat roof. There is another bay window with a door on the right. On the first floor, there are two 4-light casement windows at eaves level, each with blank outer lights and flat moulded heads above. The broad eaves are supported by thin curved iron brackets, and the chimney stacks are also battered.
