Description

87 Camden Street is a lower late 19th-century building of three bays, located on the left-hand side. The front of the building is constructed of painted brick with a stuccoed facade. The central bay features a three-light transomed window on each of the two floors, set within recessed panels bordered by pilasters. The outer bays contain doorways within chamfered surrounds, each with a four-panel door and a two-pane overlight above. Above the ground-floor windows, there are two-light transomed windows within chamfered surrounds, set in recessed panels with stepped heads. Double string courses run between the ground and first floors, a single string course sits above the first-floor windows, and a deep, moulded eaves cornice tops the building.

The rear elevation consists of a six-bay range, originally workshops and now offices. This section features four wide, semi-circular arch-headed windows, and two tall doorways with panelled and half-glazed doors, each with a two-pane overlight. The upper-floor windows are flat-headed and have been fitted with late 20th-century glazing.
