Description

John Whybrow Limited is a building from the late 19th century, constructed with polychromatic brick and stone dressings, topped with a tiled roof featuring ornamented ridge tiles. The structure is two storeys high with an attic and is three bays wide, with the right bay gabled and slightly advanced. The first bay has a ground floor window with mullions and a transom, which is incorporated into a shallow bay window on the first floor that has a prominent tiled roof. There is a door with a fanlight featuring superimposed trefoils, and above it, a small window with a trefoil head. The third bay contains a three-light window with a transom and Gothic tracery, and above it is a similar window with a segmental head. The gable features a spherical triangle with tracery, and there is an acutely gabled dormer in the roof over the first bay. To the left, there is a single-storey bay with a subsidiary entrance. The left-hand return displays two gables with bargeboards, along with some battlements and diaperwork. On the right side, there is a modern addition.
