Description
This is a former mill, built in 1810 and originally known as the New Union Flour Mill, located on Grosvenor Street West in Ladywood. The building is constructed of brick with a slate roof. It is two storeys high and comprises eleven bays, with the central bay projecting slightly and topped by a pediment. The ground floor features a broad, segmental archway in the centre, leading to a yard behind, flanked by blank windows. The first floor has eleven windows, of which five are blank, and the remaining six are sash windows with glazing bars. Inside the yard, on the right-hand side, is a two-storey canted bay window, along with two entrances each framed by a pedimented doorcase.
