Description

This building is a house, likely dating back to the late 18th century, with a general appearance typical of the 1840s. Constructed of stucco with a slate roof, it is arranged in an L-shape and faces a garden with a five-bay principal facade. The ground floor features a series of canted bay windows, two sash windows, a door recessed within a pedimented doorcase, and two further doors, each flanked by thin pilasters and accessed by steps. A broad, moulded band runs across the first floor, incorporating dentils to the bay windows, and another moulded band sits at the first floor sill level. The first floor has plain sash windows. A moulded eaves cornice and blocking course top the building. A double-panelled door is set into a return on the right side, approached by steps, with panelled reveals, a fanlight, and a decorative surround consisting of columns carrying a reeded frieze and a dentilled pediment.
