Description

The Parish Church of St Silas, built between 1852 and 1854 by J W Fiddian, is located on Church Street in Lozells, Birmingham. This church is designed in a cruciform layout and features brick construction with a slate roof. The east end and transepts are adorned with lancet windows, while the nave has four-centred arched windows with intersecting Y-tracery. Inside, there is a west gallery supported by slender iron columns and large timber posts. The open trussed roof includes a frieze of quatrefoils at the wall plate level. The font and pulpit may have been added later.
