Description

The Corporation School, originally known as Hill County Infant School, was built in 1826. It features colour washed brick and low pitched roofs covered with Welsh slate, complete with eaves cornices. The building includes sash windows that have glazing bars. The main two-storey block is topped with a turret that has louvred sides and a wrought iron weather vane. There is also a one-storey front wing that has projecting eaves and dummy round headed arcades with imposts, along with some round arched windows that have glazing bars radiating to the arches.
