Description

The clock tower in the centre of the avenue at Erdington Cottage Homes was built in 1898 as part of the formal layout of the Aston Union Cottage Homes. It is situated at a central point in the avenue. The structure features a timber-framed openwork design that supports the clock, which is topped by a pyramidal tiled roof with two stages and overhanging eaves. The base is made of sandstone dressed plinth and includes inscription plaques.
