Description
The Post Office, located at The Circle in Harborne, was built around 1907-1910 as part of the Harborne Tenants' Estate Limited, promoted by J S Nettlefold and designed by Martin and Martin. This building features a symmetrical design that marks the end of the vista down Moor Pool Avenue. It is constructed of brick and roughcast with a tiled roof and stands two storeys tall, comprising five bays. The central gabled bay is both higher and wider than the gabled second and fourth bays. On the ground floor, there is a single-light window, a shop front, two shop fronts with doors angled towards each other at the center, another shop front, and a final single-light window. The first floor includes a segment-headed three-light window on either side of a six-light canted bay window supported by brackets.
