Description
Bloomsbury Branch Library is a striking building dating from around 1893, designed in a mixed classical style and constructed from pink terracotta. It serves as a landmark in the area, featuring a tall entrance tower at the corner topped by a square upper dome. The high reading room gable is positioned diagonally towards the rear. The single-storey street frontage includes terracotta windows with mullions and transoms, set under four-centred arches, and is adorned with lively sculpture groups in the tympana.
