Description
No 160 Warstone Lane, built between 1840 and 1850, is an office and house that includes No 1 Warstone Parade, balancing No 159 on the opposite corner. This three-storey building is constructed of red brick and features a bowed corner. The house and office block is slightly taller than the rear range and has an eaves entablature and a projecting cornice. On the first floor, there are two windows plus a small light in the center, all featuring revealed vertical glazing bar sashes with gauged brick flat arches and stucco sills. The doorway is recessed with a gauged brick arch, a panelled door, and a fanlight. There is also one sash window at the corner. The shopping range extends for 12 bays along Warstone Parade, with sill bands on each floor and closely set segmental arched iron glazing bar windows. The ground floor features segmental arched waggon doors in the center.
