Description
36-37 Broad Street is a late 18th-century building that has undergone significant alterations in the early 20th century. It stands three storeys high and features six bays, with quoins on the left and right sides, as well as at the corner where a clock tower topped with a crown is set diagonally. The building is finished in stucco.
The ground floor has modern tripartite windows and entrances, including one situated between Tuscan columns and another at the corner. Above this is an entablature. The first floor features an arched window alongside five sash windows, while the second floor has a blank window and five nearly square sash windows. All windows are adorned with key blocks and engraved lintels. The building is topped with a bracketed eaves cornice and a later parapet that includes intermittent balustrading. Additionally, there are three notable rainwater heads.
