Description
Mallory Court Hotel is a large house dated 1915, built in the 17th century vernacular style. It features an entrance forecourt with a service wing along the east side and the main house along the south side. The building is constructed of rendered brick with stone dressings and has steeply pitched plain tile roofs with gabled ends. It is two storeys high with an attic.
The main range along the south side of the forecourt consists of four bays, three of which have gables. The right gabled bay includes four-light stone mullioned casements with leaded panes on the first floor, along with a narrow light in the attic. There is a projecting square two-storey porch with a semicircular arched entrance, three-light stone mullioned casements on the first floor, and a balustrade above. To the left of the porch is a gabled bay with two-light stone mullioned casements on the first floor and a narrow light in the attic. At the eastern end of the main range, another gabled bay features four-light stone mullioned casements on both the ground and first floors, with a narrow light in the attic.
The service wing along the east side of the forecourt has two broad gabled bays. The right-hand bay contains a six-panelled door with a two-light stone mullioned casement to the left and a three-light casement to the right of the door, along with two two-light stone mullioned casements on the first floor and a narrow light in the attic. The left bay slightly projects and has five-light stone mullioned casements on the ground floor, with two three-light stone mullioned casements on the first floor and a narrow light in the attic. All windows feature leaded panes. The building is topped with large diagonally placed square red brick chimney shafts. The interior boasts fine period details, particularly in the ground floor rooms.
