Description
The Globe Inn is an early 18th-century stone building with early 19th-century brick additions on the east side. The west front remains largely unaltered. It has two storeys and attics, featuring a plinth, stringcourse, and chamfered quoins. The upper windows were inserted in the late 19th century under brick gables. There are keystones above the remaining six windows, four of which still have their original wooden casement frames. The entrance includes a six-panelled door with a wooden surround, Ionic pilasters, and a pedimented hood. The stuccoed north front has two windows with early Victorian Gothic tracery, and there is a bay window on the west side. The doorway features a stone architrave surround with stop-moulded jambs, indicating an early date. The roofs are tiled.
