Description

Moat Farmhouse is a late 15th century or early 16th century building featuring a timber frame with whitewashed infilling of brick and plaster. It has an old tiled roof with diagonally set shafts leading to a 16th century red brick chimney stack. The farmhouse has a rectangular plan with a central back wing, and it showcases curved braces and closely set studding. The windows are casement style. The interior is reported to retain original fireplaces. Moat Farmhouse and the adjacent barn are recognized as a group.
