Description

Nos 40 and 42 on High Street are two-storey buildings that underwent late 18th century alterations to their earlier timber-frame structure. The upper floor is divided into three angular bays, each featuring one light and intermediate sunk panels. A moulded wood canopy supported by console brackets is present at the first floor. The buildings have recessed doors and two modern bay windows. The eaves are plain, and the roofs are generally covered with old tiles. Nos 30 to 62 (even) form a group with these buildings.
