Description

These are two houses located on the north side of High Street, dating from the late 18th century but built on an earlier sandstone core. The front is roughcast, with two storeys. The first floor has five three-light casement windows. Below, each house has two flat bow windows. Both houses feature similar doorcases made of moulded wood, with open pediments supported by curved brackets. A modern covered walkway connects the two properties in the centre. The building has moulded wooden eaves, old tiles, and brick stacks. Nos 30 to 62 (even numbers) of High Street form a notable group.
