Description

The buildings at 113 and 115 West Street likely originated as a single two-story house dating to the early 16th century. A prominent cross wing on the left-hand side features a jettied first floor, revealing timber framing with close-set studs and diagonal bracing. Later timber framing is visible on the rear gable. The infilling and right-hand wing are covered in roughcast. The windows include 18th-century casements with leaded lights. An unobtrusive early 19th-century brick extension has been added to the east side. The roof is covered with old tiles. A cut bracketed doorhood is above the entrance to No. 113.
