Description
This is a chest tomb for members of the Lord family, located approximately 18 metres north of the chancel of the Church of Holy Trinity in Stratford-upon-Avon. It dates from the 1780s and is made of ashlar stone. The tomb features a moulded plinth and recessed balusters with moulded bases. The top slab is currently obscured by ivy. The names inscribed on the south side include Richard Lord, who died in 1785, his son John, who died in 1827, and his wife Ann, who died in 1829. Additionally, Richard Lord, who died in 1760, is recorded on the west end of the tomb.
