Description
8 and 9 Henley Street are two houses that have been converted into shops, dating back to the 1770s. They are constructed of brick with buff headers and feature a tiled roof with a brick stack at one end. The buildings are two storeys high and have a three-window range. A platt band runs above the ground floor, topped by a modillioned brick cornice. The 20th-century shop fronts are located on either side of the entrance, with an exposed platt band visible on the right end. The first floor has three large windows, each with three-light transom small-paned casements and iron opening lights, along with a narrow inserted window to the left of the centre. There are 20th-century additions at the rear. These buildings are included for their group value.
