Description

Nos. 3 and 5 Banbury Road are two cottages dating from the early 18th century, faced in 19th-century brick. The cottages feature colourwashed brick arranged in Flemish garden wall bond, with a thatched roof and brick ridge and end stacks. They have a three-unit plan and are one storey plus an attic. The front has a three-window range of 19th-century two-light casements with segmental brick arches. There are 20th-century doors in 20th-century porches, and a 20th-century one-storey extension at the rear. Inside, the original roof purlins remain.
