Description
Manor Farm Cottage consists of two cottages that may have originally been part of a stable range. They date from the mid to late 17th century and were altered in the mid to late 19th century. The cottages are built of regularly coursed ironstone, with the left gable rebuilt in brick. They feature old tile roofs with coped gable parapets and moulded kneelers on the right, along with a brick end stack on the left and an internal stack on the right.
No. 11 has a two-unit plan and no windows on the front, with the entrance located at the rear. No. 12, which is set back on the right, has a lower one-unit plan and features a central part-glazed 19th-century ribbed door. Both cottages have a two-window range, with No. 12 displaying two and three-light 19th-century casements that include glazing bars and chamfered painted wood lintels. Gabled dormers are also present. The right return side of the cottages has three-light cavetto-moulded mullioned windows with labels. At the rear, there is a large internal stack and some old leaded casements. The interior has not been inspected. The cottages are included for their group value.
