Description

This headstone, located approximately 24 metres north of the porch of the Church of Holy Trinity in Stratford-upon-Avon, commemorates Richard Lord, a mason who died in 1741. Made of ashlar, the stone features a nowy-headed design with low relief scroll-like decoration above and below an oval inscription panel, and a cherub at the top. It is a notable example, particularly for its inclusion of the deceased's trade.
