Description

A barn, stable, and granary dating to the 17th and 18th centuries, with 19th-century additions, stands approximately 10 metres east of Lower Spernall Farmhouse. The building is timber-framed with square framing and tension braces, incorporating brick infill, and has a tile roof. It comprises three bays. The barn section features a central plank door and an additional opening inserted in the third bay. The stable has an altered opening. The granary includes a brick staircase, which is partly internal and partly external, and is accessed via a plank door, alongside three small windows. The left return side exhibits jowled posts. Inside the barn, the structure features jowled posts and a queen strut roof with trenched purlins.
