Description
The Hopkins tomb, located approximately 19 metres north of the north aisle of the Church of Holy Trinity in Stratford-upon-Avon, is a chest tomb dating from the 1790s. It is constructed of ashlar stone and features a moulded plinth, moulded balusters set in rebates, and a moulded edge to the top slab. The sides of the tomb have two fielded panels each. The south side of the tomb commemorates Elizabeth Hopkins, who died in 1792, and her infant son, while the north side records Richard Hopkins, who died in the 17th century.
